Create a Free Virtual Web With Avatars & Virtual Rooms
Creating an image representation such as an object, cartoon or animal is referred to as an avatar. Placing the avatar into a virtual world or home environment creates the avatar's life. The web designer can create virtual rooms to represent specific styles, architectural concepts or fantasy interior design layouts. By registering with a free template and hosting site provider, different templates are available with different web design tools like rotating virtual elements or three-dimensional features.
Instructions
1. Visit different website template providers like FreeWebTemplates.com, TemplateMonster.com, StylishTemplate.com or FreeStylishTemplates.com. Look for templates offering the features you want for the avatar such as library browsers containing images for home decorating and virtual rooms as well as virtual elements like rotating, zooming, panning and viewing the room from different angles.
2. Visit free website hosting sites like FreeWebsites.com or FreeWebsiteHosting.com. Skip this step if your free website template provider also offers free hosting as part of the package. It is important to read the contract for any hidden fees. For instance, certain sites offer free templates and hosting, but will charge you an annual website renewal fee.
3. Register with the hosting and/or the website template provider. The registration process is free and an account must be set up prior to designing the template. Bear in mind, you must supply your name, contact information and website name.
4. Choose the avatar for the home environment. A "create an avatar" button is generally located on the homepage. Click to activate the library browser. For example, if you choose a dog's image, you can build a virtual fantasy room tailored for the pet. If you choose a female or male image, select the avatar's apparel and style prior to designing the room. If the design template does not have a library browser of existing images, upload photos into the template's picture gallery. Most template providers offer a web page to store uploaded photos.
5. Choose the virtual rooms for the avatar like a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room and family room from the template's library browser. Keep your avatar's style in mind when selecting the type of room. If the template provider also offers virtual elements like rotating or panning, view the room from different angles.
6. Decorate the virtual room by selecting fixtures and furniture that reflect the avatar's style. Generally, the site allows the user to drag and drop the items with the cursor. For example, if the avatar is a trendy business woman, select modern and contemporary furniture with sleek lines. If the avatar is a celebrity debutante, choose glamorous furnishings with textured walls, paintings and plush furniture.
7. Create buttons for users to create an avatar and interact with your website avatar. If the free website template provider has limitation features, another option is to add free add-ons like an avatar blog or message boards for users to meet.
