The Littlest Pet Shop digital planner is a hand-held game designed for children ages six and up. This game is made by Hasbro and allows little ones to electronically take care of pets. The Littlest Pet Shop electronic planner features a touch screen and stylus pen for simple operation, and requires three AAA batteries. Children are able to care for their own digital pets, shop for supplies, play games and plan activities.
Instructions
1. Locate the "Play/Try Me" switch on the back of the planner and flip the switch to the "Play" mode. Press the "On/Off" button on the front of the device in the lower left-hand corner.
2. Locate and grasp the stylus pen that is included with the planner. Hold the stylus pen and use the tip of it to touch different icons on the screen, activate items and make selections. Place the stylus pen next to your pet's shoulder to move it. Place the stylus pen right behind your pet to make it change direction.
3. Customize the room for your pet. Notice the strip of icons at the top of the digital planner screen. The icons will match the description of your task -- this is the same for all icons on the planner. For example the "Bed" icon is a dog bed and the food icon is a bowl of dog food. Use the stylus pen and select the different icons to care for and nurture your pet.
4. Check your pet's happiness status. Touch your pet's head to see if he is happy, hungry, tired and more. Spend lots of time with your pet in the room, at the park and at the shop to increase his happiness. When you see a thought bubble above your pet's head it means he needs something. Check out the icon inside the thought bubble and correct it to make your pet happy. Improve your pet's happiness and a floating icon will appear.
5. Shop and create photos of your pet all dressed up. Select the shop-shaped icon to visit the shop. Notice the strip with icons while you are in the shop. These items include hats, wigs, accessories, shoes and tops. Pick out different outfits for your pet by selecting that icon. Now take a picture of your pet. Check out the backgrounds that are included on the planner and select the one you like, then select the camera icon to take a picture. Select the save icon to save your photo to display it in your pet's room.
6. Select the soccer ball icon to visit the park. Choose one of the 14 included games to play and try to get the highest score; each game lasts 60 seconds. Choose from games such as fetch, ball bounce, dumpster diving and tetherball. Select the park sign icon to see your high score.
7. Use the keypad located under the screen to type notes. Press the "Speaker" button on the lower right-hand corner of the keypad to turn the sound on and off.
8. Select the calculator icon on the right-hand side of the screen. Use the calculator to perform math functions. Select the function keys with the stylus pen and use the numbers on the keypad.
9. Select the phone icon on the right-hand side of the screen to access the address book. Use the keypad to store names, phone numbers and special dates.
10. Select the calendar button on the right-hand side of the screen. Use the keypad to type notes up to 30 characters. Display a fun icon on any date you choose.
