Animal Crossing is a life simulation game series from Nintendo. Gameplay is open-ended and nonlinear, with no required milestones or goals. Your character lives in the virtual world and interacts with neighbors and the environment in a variety of ways. One of the features of Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Nintendo Wii is the ability to interact with Animal Crossing: Wild World for Nintendo DS. You can move your character from Wild World to City Folk, or use the DS to take your character from City Folk to visit a friend's town.
Instructions
Moving from Animal Crossing: Wild World to Animal Crossing: City Folk
1. Insert Animal Crossing: City Folk into the Wii and turn it on.
2. Start a new game. Rover will ask you if you want to create a new character or if you want to move a character from your DS.
3. Insert the Animal Crossing: Wild World cartridge into your DS and turn it on. Tell Rover you want to "Move from DS!"
4. Choose "DS Download Play" on your DS, and select the Moving Van. Choose the character you want to transfer.
5. Transfer the data. When the data is transferred, Rover will prompt you to register your character. Select "Yep!" and your character from Animal Crossing: Wild World will now be available for play as a character in Animal Crossing: City Folk.
Using the DS to Visit a Friend's Town
6. Select the character in Animal Crossing: City Folk that you want to take out.
7. Talk to Copper at the City Gate and select "I Wanna Go Out!" and "DS Suitcase" from the options he gives you.
8. Insert Animal Crossing: Wild World into your DS and turn it on.
9. Select "DS Download Play" and the Suitcase panel to transfer your character's information to the DS. Once you have done this, you can close your DS and let it enter sleep mode, but do not turn off the power. You can now take your DS to your friend's house.
10. Load Animal Crossing: City Folk on your friend's Wii and select "DS Suitcase" from the menu at the beginning of the game.
11. Open the DS and select "Connect to the Wii" to initiate the transfer of your character data to your friend's game. When you are done visiting, follow the same steps to transfer your character back to your DS and to your own Wii. When you return to your town, select "I'm Back!" from Rover's menu, and your character will be returned to your game.
