Dallas offers nightly entertainment for all ages that includes karaoke bars, clubs, theaters and symphonies.
Dallas is a city in northeast Texas and offers guests and residents an abundance of nightlife events. Throughout each week, it plays a variety of music that ranges from French, Classical, Latin and holiday-themed genres.
To start off a night at the symphony, consider dining at one of the Morton H. Meyerson Center's restaurants. Opus is a fine-dining eatery located in the west lobby and features a variety of international and American fare cuisines that represent the music being played. The center's Italian-style restaurant, Allegro, offers buffet dining and specializes in cuisines such as Asian, Latin and Caribbean. After a concert, mingle in the center's Coda Lobby Lounge, where a large selection of local and imported beers and wines and specialty drinks can be purchased.
The City Tavern
The City Tavern is located in the heart of Dallas in the Main Street District. From Thursdays through Saturdays, the tavern offers live music from some of the city's local artists. David Ramirez, Paul Banks and the Carousels and Sky Mountain Music are just some of the many artists that can be found throughout the weekend.
The City Tavern also features nightly drink specials that range from $3 pints on Tuesdays to $3 wells and domestic drafts on Friday night, as of 2010. The establishment is also known for its selection of lunch and dinner dishes such as traditional fish and chips, chicken fried steak, gourmet sandwiches and burgers.
The Lizard Lounge
The Lizard Lounge offers music in the genres of dance, hip-hop gothic and industrial. Friday and Saturday nights bring many events such as electronic dance music parties with tunes provided by international, national and local DJs. The lounge offers a rooftop deck that holds outdoor events and allows patrons to dance under the stars. Other amenities include complimentary parking and valet service, late closing times of 4 a.m. and a variety of large dance floors.
The club opens daily at 9 p.m. and provides guests the opportunity to receive special offers and updates via its website. Memberships to the club can also be purchased, allowing patrons to skip long weekend lines and enjoy discounted drinks.
