Wisconsin Government Grants

Wisconsin provides grants to individuals and groups.

Wisconsin offers grants to governmental agencies as well as individuals. These grants invest in the communities and people of Wisconsin. For municipal authorities, heads of nonprofit organizations and individuals wishing to save money, it is worth knowing the available Wisconsin government grants.

Coastal Management Grants

Wisconsin's Department of Administration provides $1.5 million in grants for coastal management. The grants are administered by the Wisconsin Coastal Management Program. These grants are for the restoration and enhancement of counties next to Great Lakes, which include 820 miles of shoreline. National Guard Tuition Grant

Wisconsin is committed to helping National Guard members from the state pay for college. Eligible applicants must be enlisted men or warrant officers currently serving in the state who do not hold a bachelor's degree. Applicants cannot be flagged for absences or failing to meet standards. Grants can be applied to tuition only at accredited schools in Wisconsin. Grant recipients are required to maintain a 2.0 grade-point average. The grants are available only for eight semesters, so student soldiers must complete their studies in a timely fashion. Grant recipients who fail to meet their obligations to the Guard may be required to repay all grant monies.
