Play Baby Shower Games

Everybody expects to play at least one game at a baby shower. Pick a game that fits your shower, keeping in mind the number of guests and their tastes. Keep your guests entertained and make sure they have a good time by choosing from any of these fun games. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

Baby Shower Bingo

1. Prepare blank bingo cards before the shower using the word "Stork" across the top.

2. Have each guest write baby shower present ideas in each bingo card space before the present opening. While the mom-to-be opens presents the guests play baby bingo.

3. Tell guests to cross out items they have on their cards once they are opened. The first person to get "Stork" and yell it out, wins the prize.

Broken Water

4. Buy small plastic baby trinkets from a supply or party store.

5. Put one baby in each section of an ice cube tray and cover with water. Freeze the baby ice cubes the night before the baby shower.

6. Give guests clear plastic cups as they arrive at the shower. Once all guests have arrived, put one ice cube in each guest's cup.

7. Tell your guests to watch their babies. They can hold their cups, but they shouldn't touch their ice cubes.

8. The first guest whose baby melts from the cube yells "My water broke!" That guest wins the prize.

Dirty Diapers

9. Buy five different candy bars to fill your dirty diapers. Try to get candy bars that will look a lot different when they melt. Use candy bars with nuts, marshmallows and other fun additions.

10. Put each candy bar in a diaper before the shower starts. Using a permanent marker, put a large number on each diaper. Keep track of which candy bar is in each diaper.

11. Fold the diaper closed and microwave it for about 30 seconds to get the candy bar melted.

12. Pass the diapers to each guest and have them guess what candy bars are in each diaper. The guest who gets the most right receives the prize. Not the dirty diaper!

Baby Food Guessing Game

13. Buy five to ten different kinds of baby foods. Make sure you include fruits, vegetables and meats.

14. Pass out lots of spoons for tasting. Take the labels off the baby food jars and number them.

15. Let each guest sample the baby foods. Give them time to savor the flavors and make their best guess of what they are eating.

16. Reveal the answers after everyone is done tasting. The guest with the most right answers gets the prize.

Photo Game

17.Ask guests to bring their baby photo to the shower. Put your photo request in the baby shower invitation, or call each guest to explain the game.

18. Collect the photos as guests arrive. Put a sticky note with a number on the back of each. Keep track of the number and whose photo it is.

19. Pass the photos around or put them on a bulletin board. Ask each guest to match the baby in each photo to a person at the shower.

20. Keep track of which guests got the most photos identified correctly. That guest should get a prize for their efforts.
